The Simple Life: The Big Apple

This past week the three of us took a vacation to New York for our "Baby Moon" also known as "our last adult vacation before we have kids". This was Tom's third visit to New York, but my first. We had planned on making the trip in September when the weather was more agreeable, but since Baby J has made its appearance on the scene, traveling to New York with a 2 month old was definitely out of the picture. I have wanted to visit New York for awhile, if for nothing more than to be able to say I had. And now that our friend Will lives in New Jersey, we had extra incentive to go.

Since it was my first trip, we planned on doing all the touristy things - Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Broadway show, Rockefeller Center, etc. It was very cold the first few days of our visit, but warmed up in the last few days and even hit the low 70s. Over our 5 day visit, we managed to walk almost everywhere, ride the subway when walking was not an option, visit almost everything that was on our list and ate a ton. Rather than attempt to describe our trip in detail, I'll just post pictures of the highlights that we experienced. As you can see we did a lot and had a blast doing it. Despite our short visit, I feel like I got a pretty good feel for New York. It was a great trip but I'm not sure if we'll be able make it back anytime soon!
