Adventures in Sea-town

It has been awhile since I sat down to write in this blog and I can't believe that the holidays are past us and we are already well into 2013. We spent an amazingly fun 2.5 weeks in Seattle over Christmas vacation.  We spent the first half of our trip at Cece & Rusty's house and the last half at Claire & Joey's.  Mamanina & Poppy came up for a week while we were at the Caminos and we all spent Christmas together. We managed to squeeze in a trip to Santa, brunch at the famous Salty's of Alki, a concert by the Seattle Boy's choir, Christmas eve dinner at the Jauregui/Creighton house, Ellie's first Christmas, a family photo shoot, Rusty's birthday, an epic trip to Goodwill, Zoo Lights, a trip to Portland to visit the Gilmore Girls, a ferry ride to Bainbridge, New Year's Eve fun, lots of walking, lots of eating and surprisingly many sun-filled days.  It's hard to put it all into words, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

What we didn't get a lot of was sleep! We were hoping with all the extra hands around we'd get a chance to catch a few extra zzz's but Ellie was thrown off by all the excitement and thus so were we. She had such a good time with her family and enjoyed all the attention. Ellie did great on the plane ride over and back, sleeping almost the entire way (phew!) which made us very grateful parents. Hopefully this trend continues as we have many trips planned for this year.  Christmases in Seattle are becoming and tradition and we're already looking forward to our next trip!
